Training Sessions > KB3 Kettlebells
A Kettlebell is a traditional iron cast weight, shaped like a cannon ball with a handle. Because the handle is on the outside of the mass, it creates an extra axis of movement whenever the Kettlebell is pushed, pulled, lifted or swung. The body works to overcome these forces by controlling and absorbing them in different planes of movement. To do this your body has to use multiple muscles and multiple joints as opposed to many gym based exercises that isolate muscles in a seated or stationary position.
Kettlebell training uses the whole body, no muscle escapes. It is neither weight training nor cardiovascular, but a potent combination of both. Kettlebell training is perfect for both men and women or all ages.
