If you are looking to do an exercise that will change your shape, make you realise that you have muscles where you have never had them before, work hard, increase your fitness and have fun then you should try Kettlebell training or KB3 as we know it.
Russell is a fantastic trainer with the fitness of his class at the forefront of his mind. He will work you hard but you will see the results. I have been doing KB3 training for over a year and a half now. I do the session on a Saturday morning in Pleshey Park. It gets you away from the sometimes “stuffy, sweaty gyms” and out into the fresh air, and I love it. I hate missing any sessions because you know you will ache more the next time you do KB3.
Russell varies the sessions, so you never get bored and you can always push yourself a little extra by choosing a heavier kettlebell to lift, throw and swing around. The people in the classes are good fun and always ready to offer encouragement along with Russell. At the end of the session you feel great, tired, but great.

I have just completed 12 months of outdoor kettlebell training with KB3. There is a real difference training in a group outside in the fresh air. Russell gets that little bit extra out of you with a smile on his face!! The training is adaptable to cope with all levels of fitness. I have improved my strength and stamina over the last year progressing from using a 16kg to a 24kg kettle bell. Id encourage anyone to sign up for the classes.

I used to be a committed couch potato before I started outdoor kettlebell training with Russell. That was nearly one year ago. Since then I have noticed a steady but definite and positive transformation in my strength, stamina and flexibility. I have also had numerous positive comments from family and friends regarding improvements in my physique and posture. The training sessions with Russell have been effective in building my personal confidence and motivation to the degree where I find myself looking forward to the next session - even in the current cold and wet climate. The weekly kettlebell training sessions with Russell are hard work but at the same time I have found that Russell's professionalism has been accommodating for diverse levels of ability and fitness within the groups. The group dynamics combined with the outdoor element offer a fun and hugely rewarding experience.

I have been doing Kettles training for nearly a year now and have thoroughly enjoyed it. It has improved my flexibility, strength and power. Russell is very encouraging and works you hard. Sessions are always varied to keep you’re motivation high.

About a year ago I was getting bored of the gym and was getting tubby. I'd read about how effective kettlebells were so when Russell pounced on me at the gym suggesting I go to his beginners class I decided to give it a go. I thought I was relatively fit but went through a steep learning curve in the first few sessions that was hard work but was well worth it. After only a few weeks of kettlebells I noticed a massive improvement in my stamina and lung capacity and my back and legs are much stronger now than at any time in the gym. Russell is an excellent trainer making the regular sessions varied, motivating, fun and friendly. Training in rain, sun or snow, Russell will push you to make sure you get the most out of it, but never beyond what he knows you're capable of.

I began training with Russell having seen him with other clients working extremely hard around the gym but simultaneously enjoying it. I particularly enjoy the pad work, with it being a chance to extract revenge! The training is always varied, often innovative and interesting, generating the results desired over a period of time. I have always trained on my own in the past but the variety of exercises together with someone to push the envelope works well for me. Highly recommended. My only advice would be to train more hairdressers as this is the one area he could improve his image.

Prior to meeting Russell I have had several other personal trainers, but none have been more knowledgeable and understanding of my health and fitness than he. As I suffer from high blood pressure and diabetes it’s very important to have someone who understands these conditions, and have the correct workout and diet planned. Russell has done this, and my fitness has improved dramatically and my weight loss has been steady every month. This has had a great effect on me overall and it is down to Russell's great motivation and hard work that this has been achieved. He is very professional and explains things in plain and simple terms.
All in all everybody needs a Russell in their lives!

I have known Russell for three years now. I started using him as my personal trainer three years ago. He started a weight loss program for me including a plan for a more healthy way of looking at food. Within nine months my weight had dropped from 178 kilos to 127. During 2006 I took a break and took up training again this January 2007.
This time we worked on inches, I had put a lot of weight back on, however between January to April I dropped 4 inches in waist size, also shirts feel better and I feel great again. Russell understands people and knows when how to make you work without you feeling totally finished and not wanting to return. I owe him much for helping me move forward with my health and overall well being.

Russell is very reliable and professional - all work-out routines are well planned and sessions paced to suit each individual's needs. He's very calm and encouraging, but doesn't take excuses and is a hard taskmaster! Since starting my training with him I now understand the saying "no pain no gain"; but he definitely gets results.

Russell has been my PT for almost a year and boy have I seen results! Russell is devoted to fitness but realistic in people’s time and commitments, and is never one to push the health regime down your throat! He enjoys the odd beer or two so don’t think he is a saint! Russell works you hard but knows your limitations, or is that guess work?!? Whatever it is, it keeps me focused and motivated. I have known him as a personal trainer for about 3 years and he has been a great P.T. Russell has educated me on my eating habits, having gone on the Zone Diet which l was introduced by Pearcy which helped me to go down 2 dress sizes from size 18 to 14 and l am still 'ZONING' and looking so good, thanks to PEARCY. I have seen him twice a week for P.T sessions for an hour having a structured exercise routine, which has included a taste of KB3 which l must admit, at first l hated but now love it. I have also attended a Spinning class that he runs once a week which has been great as an all body work out.

I started training with Russell about three years ago as I wanted to introduce some variety into my training programme and get some professional support to help deal with the arthritis that I suffer with in my left hip. During that time Russell has successfully helped me improve my posture and flexibility and has also reversed the muscle wastage to my thigh. He certainly knows his stuff, and can be quite a taskmaster, but for me the results do speak for themselves! Don't be fooled by the soft voice and boyish smile.......just another 5 reps means just that ! When he says "you're done " at the end of a session you certainly feel it......but you feel great when you walk out of the gym.

And I can say he has really improved my mobility. Many years ago I was in an R.T.A. which left me with a rather stiff left leg and not a lot of give around the knee. With Russell's constant nagging and pushing I can now kneel without my knee giving way. I feel invigorated (knackered only joking Russ) and ready to do anything. He is a hard task master but that's what we pay him for. I don't know what I would have been like if it wasn't for Russell. At the slightest twinge I would have given up if I was exercising by myself.

We have been working with Russell since November both through the various classes he runs & also on a PT basis. I can honestly say that all sessions have been both rewarding & enjoyable – even the 6.30am classes outside
during winter! Perhaps Russell’s greatest strength is his ability to identify when change is required – even subtle changes are made to ensure that sessions remain fresh & fun and if you match effort with his commitment
you will see results whatever your goal – improve fitness, body shape or general well being. The tabita sessions are a testament to this, where over the course of 6 weeks, results are published allowing you to see week
on week improvement. We’ve used a couple of PT’s in the past but none have matched Russell for knowledge, awareness or desire to do a good job!
